Ladakh is a high-altitude desert region in northern India, with an average altitude of around 3,500 meters (11,500 feet) above sea level. To acclimatize to the high altitude in Ladakh, it's important to take some precautions and gradually adjust to the new environment. Drink plenty of fluids and take ample amount of rest. Enjoy the crux of the famed tourist spots of Leh in a day. Post breakfast visit to the ancient palace of Leh town. Also known as Lachen Palkar, Leh palace is the former royal palace overlooking the town of Leh. It was constructed circa 1600 by Sengge Namgyal. Next visit to Thiksey monastery. Located 19 kilometers east of Leh, Thiksey monastery is the largest monastery in central Ladakh. And is famous for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Lhasa. To witness the grandeur of the Hemis Monastery, you can take an extra drive of around 40 km towards the east of Leh town. Hemis Monastery is one of the largest and wealthiest monasteries in Ladakh, and it is famous for its colorful festivals and traditional masked dance performances. Afternoon, visit the Gyab Thago heritage home for a traditional Ladakhi culinary experience. The Gyap Thago is a heritage home that is more than 200 years old, located in Stok Hamlet, which is almost 20 km away from Leh. This magnificent house is a legacy of Ladakh's great ancestors, and it still stands today. During the heritage lunch, you will have the opportunity to tour the ancient home before enjoying a pure vegetarian Ladakhi lunch, starting with the traditional alcoholic brew called "Chang."  After this heritage lunch, visit the Stok Palace Museum to explore its fascinating collection of royal artifacts and traditional Ladakhi exhibits. Conclude your day with dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Leh, reflecting on the unique experiences and cultural insights gained throughout the day. 

Proceed for a day tour of Leh local sightseeing towards Sham region. Today we will explore the lower lands of Ladakh called the Sham Valley, which is located along the shores of Indus River. Post breakfast drive to Nimoo to see the magnificent view of the Confluence of Indus and Zanskar river at Nimoo. Next, continue your drive to the Alchi Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its ancient murals and sculptures. Admire the unique blend of Indian and Tibetan architectural styles and soak in the spiritual atmosphere of the monastery. Post Alchi visit to Likir for a half day pottery making experience in Likir. The half-day pottery workshop in Likir offers an immersive experience at a family-run traditional Ladakhi pottery studio. With roots tracing back to the 17th century during the reign of King Gyalpo Namgyal, the craft has been passed down through generations. Participants will learn how locally sourced clay, collected from 4000m above sea level, is shaped on a hand-spun wheel. Return to Leh by evening. You can spend the evening at the Shanti Stupa, which offers stunning panoramic views of the town and the surrounding mountains. It is a peaceful and serene place to watch the sunset and meditate. Start your day early and embark on a breathtaking drive to Turtuk, passing through Khardungla, the highest motorable pass in the world at an altitude of 18,380 ft. The stunning views of the snow-capped peaks and winding roads will take your breath away. Continue your journey towards the picturesque Turtuk Village, situated on the Indian side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Turtuk was once part of Pakistan- occupied Kashmir (POK) until the 1970s. This charming village is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful in all of Ladakh and is particularly unique for its inhabitants of Balti ethnic origin. Upon arrival visit to Balti Kitchen for an authentic treat of Balti cuisine at the Balti Kitchen in Turtuk for lunch. Post lunch take a leisurely stroll around the village to experience the essence of Baltistan. Visit the Balti Heritage Museum to learn about the history and culture of the region and explore the traditional storage system. Spend the evening enjoying the breathtaking views and the serene environment of Turtuk. Enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight stay in Turtuk.

After indulging in a lavish breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive back to Nubra Valley. Upon reaching Nubra Valley, visit the Diskit Monastery, the oldest and largest Buddhist monastery in the region. Near the monastery, you'll see the giant statue of the Future Buddha, also known as Gyawang Chamba or the Maitreya Buddha. This spot offers an exquisite view of the entire Shayok Valley of Nubra. After visiting the monastery, head to the Hunder Sand Dunes, where you can witness the unique sight of the famous Himalayan double-humped camels. Take a desert safari ride and enjoy the spectacular view of the Shayok Valley. In the evening, relax at the hotel/resort in Nubra Valley and enjoy a delicious dinner before retiring for the night

After an early breakfast, embark on a scenic drive towards the eastern border of Ladakh, crossing the Shayok Valley. The drive to Pangong is an adventure in itself, offering stunning views of the rugged mountains and the picturesque landscapes of Ladakh. Upon reaching Pangong by afternoon, you'll be greeted by the world's highest saltwater lake, situated at a height of almost 4,350m. The crystal-clear blue waters of the lake stand in stark contrast to the arid mountains surrounding it, making for a breathtaking sight. Pangong Lake is one of the most famous lakes in Leh Ladakh, extending to almost 160 km, with one-third of it lying in India and the other two-thirds in China. The lake derives its name from the Tibetan word, “Pangong Tso”, which means “high grassland lake”. You can spend the evening exploring the beauty of the lake, enjoying a leisurely stroll along the banks. Post dinner experience an amazing guided telescopic stargazing in Pangong. Since the region is situated at an altitude of over 4000 metres above sea level with minimum artificial light, the entire Changthang is ideal for stargazing (Subjected to clear weather conditions). Get up early to not to miss the mesmerizing sunrise view at Pangong lake. After enjoying your breakfast on the shores of Pangong lake. proceed towards the nearby village to explore the local lifestyle. Return to Leh by late afternoon. Rest of the day free to explore local market and for shopping.
