Day 01 :

Arrival - NJP/Bagdogra to Gangtok

Meet & greet at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Gangtok (approx. 115 km / 4-5 hours drive). Gangtok is located at an elevation of about 1,650 meters (5,410 feet). Evening free for leisure or shopping at MG Road, the bustling market area.

Day 02 :

Gangtok Full-Day City Tour

The full-day city tour of Gangtok on Day 2 includes visits to several remarkable sites. You will start by exploring Ranka Monastery, situated approximately 15 km from Gangtok at an elevation of around 1,650 meters. Next, visit the natural beauties of Jhakri Falls and Bakthang Falls, which are nearby waterfalls. For stunning panoramic views of Kanchenjunga (8,586 meters), the highest peak in India, you will proceed to Tashi Viewpoint. The tour also includes a visit to Enchey Monastery, located at an elevation of about 1,700 meters. You will then head to the local temples with amazing city views, including Ganesh Tok and Hanuman Tok. A key highlight is the visit to Rumtek Monastery, the largest monastery in Sikkim, approximately 24 km from Gangtok, situated at about 1,500 meters elevation. Other attractions include Gunjan Monastery, Shanti Viewpoint, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sundays), Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays), the Flower Show, and the Ropeway (ticket not included). After this full-day exploration, you will return to your hotel in Gangtok for an overnight stay.

Day 03 :

Excursion to Tsomgou Lake

Early morning drive to Tsomgou Lake, situated 43 km from Gangtok at 3,780 meters (12,400 feet) elevation, approx. 3 hours one way through mountainous roads. Enjoy the serene lake surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Return to Gangtok for overnight stay. Alternate sightseeing will be provided if the lake is closed due to landslides or weather.

Day 04 :

Excursion to Namchi

you will take an excursion to Namchi, which is approximately 75 km from Gangtok, about a 3-hour drive, located at an elevation of around 1,300 meters. The visit includes exploring the magnificent Samdruptse Monastery, renowned for its towering 45-meter statue of Guru Padmasambhava. You will also see the miniature replicas of the Char Dhams, which include Jagannath Dham in the East, Dwarika Dham in the West, Badrinath in the North, and Rameshwaram in the South. Another highlight is the impressive 108-foot statue of Lord Shiva, which is surrounded by 12 'Lingas'. Additionally, you will visit the Sal Mandir and the beautiful Rock Garden. After completing these visits, you will return to Gangtok for leisure time and overnight stay.

Day 05 :

Departure - Gangtok to NJP/Bagdogra

After breakfast, check out and transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport (approx. 115 km / 4-5 hours). Service concludes with fond memories of the trip.
